i don't think the 2011 IS has the feature to where all the windows and sunroof goes down and up. unless someone knows how to do it to a newer model.

I've tried it a few times with my 2008 and it doesn't appear to.

If I hold down a memory button with the car "off" and then hold down the lock button the drivers door I hear the click of the lock, then nothing, no matter how long I hold the buttons.
1. Turn off engine and close the drivers door.
2. Press and hold the desired button (1,2, or 3) while pressing the LOCK OR UNLOCK BUTTON on your WIRELESS REMOTE CONTROL until the signal beeps.

The smart key card doesn't have buttons.

Hence why people were asking how to link it since your directions are impossible.

My bad, I thought your were talking about the smart key. You can't link the SMART CARD because it doesn't have any button.

I knew you could touch the handle and the car would unlock, but I had no idea you can toggle back and forth between driver and passenger side. That's SWEET!

for me i just like to have driver door to be unlock because i don't want someone to car jack my baby or i have to shoot someone in my car which will be a mess and i might be deaf after that. So It is a no no for me, however, it is nice to know.

Have you found anyway to close all the windows by the remote?????

I would love to have that option....

Since you can open them by holding down a button...You should also be able to close them...

Joe

If you get your actual key out of your fob u can open/close your sun roof and all windows by putting the key on your door an turn it like if u were gna unlock your car and hold it in that position. Unlocking your car with open sunroof and windows. Locking car closes sunroof and windows.

Default 15 Years Later You're Still Helping

I know it's been 15 years since you posted this regarding the hand sensor on the doors. I did some electrical work on my ES 350 yesterday and today the auto unlock wasn't working. As I frantically read other posts fearing I screwed something up, I came across yours. I just wanted to let you know that 15 years later you just saved me a lot anxiety, money, time, etc. Thank you!
