Default Awsome

Also:

The default is to only unlock the Driver door, but usually I'm with other people and I'd like all the doors to unlock without me having to grab the remote and hit unlock while walking up to the car. So you can program it to do this.

Simply walk up to your driver door, and hold the LOCK / UNLOCK buttons down together (on the SmartKey until the Car beeps, now if you lock it, walk away, come back and touch the door handle, ALL doors will unlock.

Many would chose only to have the Driver Door unlock, but it's nice to know that you have options.

Awsome feature that I didnt know about. Thanks for posting it and as u see it has its effects even 5 years later.

about a 5 second hold on the remote for me until 2 sets of double beeps is heard.

does anyone know if I have remote window down on the 11? from what I read the older models have it but I am holding the dumb unlock button and nothing happens?

Far as I know the windows-roll-down thing is an LPS so the dealer can change it- the default used to be to open everything with the fob, a year or two ago it was changed to [B/not[/B] do that by default (too many folks going outside and finding their car open unintentionally because something hit the button in their pocket I'd guess) but I'd imagine you can still change it back.

Actually on the 2010 and up NAV cars you can do it yourself.. no tools needed and some tihings on older NAVs as well.

You can change several hundred LPS settings on the nav yourself for 2010 and up?

Or did you just mean the small handfull of em I've seen on other 6th gen nav systems?

Because if you meant the second then you still need to hit the dealer for all the others (or own your own techstream)

Unhappy

I just saw a Mercedes C200 and Chevrolet Traverse have one feature where the lights (both xenon and rear lights) stay on for a while after the driver exits his/her car even after locking their doors with the remote.

It's pretty cool.I envy those guys with this feature. I don't think our IS's have this right ?
