You can't roll up the windows via the remote in the U.S. models. In every other country you can though.

Ya I know we cant using the remote... but what would have been nice is to be able to use the door handle lock button since we have comfort access.

Also:

The default is to only unlock the Driver door, but usually I'm with other people and I'd like all the doors to unlock without me having to grab the remote and hit unlock while walking up to the car. So you can program it to do this.

Simply walk up to your driver door, and hold the LOCK / UNLOCK buttons down together (on the SmartKey until the Car beeps, now if you lock it, walk away, come back and touch the door handle, ALL doors will unlock.

Many would chose only to have the Driver Door unlock, but it's nice to know that you have options.
Here's another thing you might not know.

You've discovered you don't have to pull the handle to unlock, just grab it.

Did you know you don't even have to touch it? Just slide your hand between the handle and the door and it'll unlock.

It shouldn't matter since the windows stop automatically if they detect an obstacle. What's next, garage doors that won't close remotely?

Have you found anyway to close all the windows by the remote?????

I would love to have that option....

Since you can open them by holding down a button...You should also be able to close them...

Joe
Not only can you use the remote to close the windows on Australian spec cars, you can also hold in the lock button on the door handle to close the windows.

This probably means there's some way to toggle it into doing that. There's no way Toyota would build two different control modules, and install one in US-spec and one in world-spec.

Could be the same control module with different software flashed into the controller, though more likely an option settable with the factory scan tool.

The same control module with a different flash BIOS/ROM/whatever is still a different part, since Toyota wouldn't flash it after its in the vehicle. Which means its something someone somewhere can change...Javy, I looked on TIS, albeit for a limited time since I was at work and lots of execs walk by my cubicle...can you take a look? I found a listing somewhere of all the things a scan tool can set.

Do you remember roughly which section it was in? I hate the TIS search tool...

Yea, I wanna say it was in one of the early sections of the repair manual, otherwise it was something totally obvious under another reference...

Personalisation Options for US models. We have the functionality, it just isn't linked to the wireless remote.
