^ Your dealer has to program it for you. It's part of the "Lexus Personalized Settings." Technically, you're only allowed to change the programming once for free, and they charge you after that. However, if you're going in for service or a recall, they'll usually do the programming for free.

Keys cannot be locked in the car. Keys cannot be locked in the trunk on 06-10 models, 11+ models do not have the receiver for the trunk any longer.

You can technically lock a keyfob in the car, it just requires use of the second fob

I found this out when my wife left her jacket with fob in her jacket in the car and I tried to lock it using the door handle button and it wouldn't let me... I was sure Lexus wouldn't make this scenario impossible, so I hit the lock button on the other fob I had on me and it locked.

(I'd imagine this'd work with one fob in the trunk of 06-10 models too)

Yeah, you could also roll down the window, close the door, reach in and hit the lock button, then hit the auto up and pull your hand out, heh.

At least with your scenario you have another key fob, but that would potentially suck if you were dropping someone off at the airport or something and then they left and you didn't have your key.

Nope. It can only be unlocked from the front.

If there is no receiver in the trunk, how does it unlock when I walk-up from directly behind the car and press the button located on the trunk? Using one main receiver?
