Since I paid for the ML, I figured I'd use it to its full capabibility so I normally have it cranked up to about 30-volume wise. I'm hoping that I don't go deaf soon. BTW, does anyone happen to know what's the maximum volume you can go w/o damaging the system some how? Not that I intend to crank it up that high...just curious, that's all.

I listen to mine on 45-55 regularly. Its such an awesome stereo for factory.

We have gone to the max with a DVD-audio disk in DTS mode. No problem, no distortion on the speakers, Try it!

Wow, I listen to mine at about 26 tops and I think that's loud. I must be getting old. At least now I know the system could take a lot more than that.

i dont have the ml system, how much louder is it than the stock one? i've maxed out the stock..max is 60 but that was on a burned cd that was recorded a little lower than one thats purchased at the store...normal volume for me is 45-50

wow...I'm tame at 30 compared to a lot of you guys! But I don't blame anyone for wanting to bump it loud considering how awesome the system sounds (ML or stock ).

I bump it as loud as I can when my gf is not in the car and when she is in it...its classical music at 15

The volume level of the inputs to most any audio system varies from one source to another (e.g., on your home audio system, I would almost guarantee that your CD player outputs at a higher level than any other source) and even across software (e.g., one CD to another). In other words, with the volume **** set at a given number, the sound coming from your speakers may be louder or softer depending on what you are listening to. Thus, these comparisons are not very meaningful.

P.S. There was a thread on here recently (I'm too lazy to find it right now) about a tendency for the ML subwoofer to blow out when playing heavy bass at a high volume level. So, if you're planning on testing the limits in your own car, be warned. Caveat auditor.

For a stock radio system--I would say this is decent.

However, Im just not feeling the effects that I had with the 12'' W7 in the back with a 1500 watt amp. Do you get my drift?
