Default Should I install this in my IS350?

I want to purchase a G-Tech/Pro Performance meter for my IS350. Most likely the SS. Has anyone used one before, or at least the new version. Are they accurate enough? Is it a waste of money?

IMO, it looks like it would cheapen the look of the interior. If there was a better way to integrate something like that, it would be cool........but I wouldn't mount something like that in a car like the IS. That's just my opinion though......and my opinion means very little.

I wouldnt mount something like that permanently. kinda embarassing if you ask me.

however, I wouldn't mind playing with one for a day, after that I am sure the novelty will wear out. Certainly wouldn't pay for one either.

I agree with the rest, dont mount it... makes the car look like a rice rocket. Can you somehow store it in the center console somewhere?

Even mounting it in the glove box or in the arm rest along with a SAFC or some gauges doesnt seem right for a IS, but personally if i saw it mounted in the center some where i would laugh.

thats my opinion.... to each his own (if it tickels your pickle )

I had the pro in my BMW - ended up selling it. It works fine but everyone else is correct, the novelty wore off. I used it when I was adding mods regularly to measure performance gains but once that was finished so did the use of the GTech. You can't get an accurate measurement on city roads either...

I'd borrow one for a day if I changed cars, did a mod, or something like that but would never buy one.

I'd also have to pass on adding that in the car no matter how good it is. It will probably end up looking like one of those huge ricer tachometers that dont belong.

The Delorean had one of those in it - flux capacitor.

Seriously though, If you like it and don't think you'll get bored with it - then mount it! It's all about what you like! Be careful if it leaves screw holes when remmved though... that would be bad.

I agree mostly with this. Waist of money. I know myself it would probley be cool for around 1 week or until i showed everyone i know. After that it would just a sore eye to look at. I also feel it would be outta place in the IS.

Waste of money plus it clutters your interior. Please don't make the IS350 into a Honda racer

If you had a mustang or a rice cooker sure. I say just let the car be. They get old after 2 weeks anyway.

Looks pretty cheap to me. I would be very reluctant to mount that thing anywhere inside my car.

If you like it and plan to get it. You can mount it inside the sunglass holder compartment. I think it's the best place for it. You can close it when not using.
