What one thinks really is a good color on the IS
#16
I'm not sure you'll get any kind of consensus on this one. For lighter colors, my personal preference is Tungsten Pearl, I don't really care for breakwater blue or glacier frost, although others obviously like it alot. I would never get a white car, but, that's just me. I debated between smoky granite and blue onyx pearl, and finally went with BOP. Bottom line is, this is a sharp car, and I don't think you can really go wrong with any of them.

What does breakwater blue look like anyways? all I know is there seem to be no nice quality pictures to be found, and the lexus website is nothing close to being accurate at displaying colors

gotta go black on black. only problem is it gets dirty. I have a silver spyder I'm trading in for my ISawd (if it ever comes in) and that hides the dirt. I'm tired of sliver cars though.
Does anyone find it interesting that the IS comes in 3 shades very very close to black?

You really have to see it in person. Depending on light and angle, it can be a baby powder blue, bluish silver, or similar to BMW's Arctic Metallic by day, Quartz Blue Metallic by night.
Here is a pic of my car in the daytime and nighttime:

The colors you see on your computer won't do them justice, especially the metallic colors. After seeing the samples, I almost wish I went for Tungsten Pearl.
