question about body kit and HIDs
I'll keep it short and simple.
1. I really like the OEM front lip but I'm not too interested in the rear because I don't want to have to cut anything... with that said, do you guys think a combination of the OEM front lip spoiler and the VARIOUS rear side spoilers would look good?
for those who haven't seen the VARIOUS kit: http://www.fabulous.co.jp/inc/produc...p?id=159&num=5
2. I'm thinking of getting the 6000K philips kit from xenondepot. Apparently, it uses very thin ballasts which might be easier to work with than most other kits. Is the HID install something a total newbie can do? Or should I pay a little more and have it done at a shop?
Thanks in advance.

But the Various Kits are freaking nice. Why not get the whole kit instead of putting the front OEM and mix them up. It's gonna look funny because the rear will be lower than the front because the Various Kit are definitely make the car lower.

I even measure them before and after I install the kit, the front spoiler and ground clearance are the same. The OEM lip just kake the front a liltle wider, not any lower than stock.

tim817, can you post some pics of your car? I'd like to see how the front lip looks. That's all you got right?

But I do want to see the Various front lip on a Tungsten Pearl though, since that's what I have.

my goal has always been to keep my car looking stock. i did get the OEM kit, rear lip spoiler and the ISP mode rims but those are factory parts. many more kits will come up - some more extreme, some even better looking. i guess it all depends on what you really want.
the only thing I might consider changing from stock in the future are the ISP wheels for some 19" wheels. but once the car is lowered (mildly), i think the ISPs will look just fine.

I like the VARIOUS kit better also. I was like you and was going to mix the OEM front with the INGS+1 rear, but I am glad I waited. Here is a HOT TIP for you. Don't do anything until after March 18th. Click on this link below. A company called Element 114 is specific for Lexus and their NEW IS Kit is being displayed for the first time at the show in San Diego.

I am going to stay paitent and see what comes out over the next 90 days.
