MEMORY SEATS-can they be added?
I've got an '06 IS250 on order, but did not get the package that includes memory seats. I'm wondering if anyone knows if I can buy the little pop-in door module that has the memory numbers in it and if the wires for it would already be in the door...ready to hook up. I imagine that there may be a computer adjustment somewhere that would need to be made, but they probably wire all the cars for it because it's cheaper/easier. Only catch is that the memory seats also adjust the power tilt/telescope steering wheel, and mine is a manual adjustment. Has anyone tried this on the new IS or on other Lexus's? Thanks in advance.

i seriously doubt it would be that easy as to just plug in the door module and hook it up...probably a totally different wiring harness or something crazy...............hell even the illuminating door sill isn't plug and play!

To put in new seats with the computer mechanism, and to install the hardware to the controls on the door, it would cost thousands of dollars more that getting it factory installed. Doable, but definately not worth the pain, time, effort, and man-hours. Might as well trade in your car and get one with it...

hehe. Now I've heard it all. First it was HID's, then Nav, ML, park sensors, backup camera, scuff plates, sport pedals, now memory seats.
