Nav Voice Control Question
OK, I know very little about the voice control on the IS, and i know you can't really change the nav destination while moving.
Let's say I have my home address saved in the system can I while driving:
1: Use voice commands to set the nave to take me home
2: Use any buttons on nav to navigate me home

You can even use the voice command to enter an address that isn't saved in memory while driving. Do it like this:
<push voice button> "Address"
<push voice button> "Illinois"
<push voice button> "Chicago"
<push voice button> "Wacker Drive"
<push voice button> "two three three"
<push voice button> "Enter destination"
<push voice button> "Address"
<push voice button> "Illinois"
<push voice button> "Chicago"
<push voice button> "Wacker Drive"
<push voice button> "two three three"
<push voice button> "Enter destination"

there is a hack for changing the destination while driving, its been posted on here........... if you dont want to search here it is:
first you go to the menu screen
then select volume
then touch the left upper corner, then left bottom corner, then left upper corner, then left bottom corner again
then a hack screen will pop up
hold the override button till u hear a beep
then press back
this will reset when you turn off the car

Home is the first destination you store by attribute..
and it is easy to push one button at the bottom of the destination screen vs. going through the voice command but that is still an option you should practice. Go through the voice command list by saying "help" after the beep and try a few at a time until they are second nature. About a dozen will be enough to start with. It is funny when the system seemingly refuses to correctly interpret what your request was and does something else. You should definitely practice the commands before you try to impress your friends....

You can't find your way home? JK. When I read that you needed your nav to get home I thought it was kinda funny, but now I can think of times when I would need it too. (there's no beer guy smilie. what's up with that?)

I don't really have any problems with the nav recognizing my voice when I enter in an address. Only once did it get the city name wrong. Other than that, i use the voice recognition all the time including speaking a phone number, all with great results. I'm actually very impressed with the voice recognition vs. the range rover which is my only other voice recognition experience. Just my opinion.
