Default Glad I was there!!

So I went to my Lexus dealership this morning to get my first oil change (I had 3000 miles btw). I told them I wanted my 5k service and I was going to wait for it. I ended up walking around back to see what was going on with my car. I got there just in time to see the mechanic putting the lug nuts on the back wheel. I figured he rotated them, but i knew that to rotate our tires, you need to take them off the rim. So i took a closer look and he was putting the front wheels on the back of the car!!! I told him that they are different size tires, and he was like what are you talking about. Then he read the side of the tires and was like "oh, you can't rotate these, you'll need new tires in 10k miles." You would think that a certified Lexus tech would know that the back wheels are a different size especially if it's right in front of their face.

There isn't even a IS in the area with 17's. That dealership told me that every car is coming with the 18's.

Holy sh(o)t you got to be kidding, at Lexus that is never suposed to happen. I wouldn't want that mechanic touching my car. Whats he on drugs, I know sombody called in sick and they needed a mechanic fast and found sombody walking down the street.

so since all the is350 comes with 18's does that mean they wont charge extra for it? cuz i noticed it was $941 extra to upgrade to 18s from 17's...

also how many type of 18's rims are there for the is350?

Wow, that is ludicrous! Now I'm gonna have that in the back of my mind when I bring it in for the first service.

Dealers are monkey's. Thats why I NEVER visted a dealer before other then warranty work.

I wouldnt even trust them doing a simple oil change.

Well it was my first free service, so I figured I would take advantage of it. Next one is not going back to them.

Oh no, they charge you 700 something dollars for them.
