And mine doesn't seem to work well if the dust has been sitting for a few days. I guess it gets wet and sticks.

I've been using the California Duster with the plastic handle that Walmart sells for less than 10 bucks for at least 15 years. They are a real time saver. But only use them for dust, not muddy dirt that sometimes kicks up behind the wheels. Works as well as the $20.00 wooden handle duster. I usually use one on 2 different vehicles for about 3-4 months, then replace it with another one. Another thing I use to dry the car is an electric leaf blower, but wear hearing protection as those things are loud but they do a great job of getting most of the water to come out from all the nooks and crannys.

I used one on my black bm3 and regretted it. same thing, thousands of little marks... too bad, the concept is great....
