Am I the only one that is getting a windshield wiper mark on my windows every time I use them. Seems to have always done that and I'm just now starting to notice it. The worst part is the mark it leaves is right in my field of vision. (see picture) This is the first car i've owned that has done this and I'm already considering replacing the wipers with another set. Maybe this particular batch was bad.

Is that picture taken when it is dry out or raining? I only see the trace of that mark when it is foggy out and moisture is condensing on the windshield. Once it is defrosted, I don't see it anymore.

Yeah I would do that since it is covered under warranty. It almost looks like the glass surface was not clean to begin with.

Sorry for the bad photo. Taken with my camera phone and it wasn't raining. It had rained just enough to use the wipers yesterday and that was it and here I am once again stuck with that mark on the window that i have to remove with a paper towl. The window is as clean as I can get it so there must be some kind of residue on the blades. grrr When I go in for my 1st oil change I'll talk to the dealer about it and request that they replace the wiper blades and see what happens.

It's the blades. There's really nothing you can do about it.

I should note too that it's only visible when the windshield is wet and if you haven't heard about Seattle lately and all of our rain problems, I've been using the wipers extensively and need to get off my lazy butt and apply RainX again onto the windshield.

When the windshield is dry, it's virtually invisible. I'm sure it's just residue from the blades. I think this happens on ANY car/truck/vehicle to a certain degree. Just for some odd reason it seems to be more pronounced on our vehicles. Not sure why.

A hard scrubbing with window-cleaner and paper towels will remove it... until you use the wipers again.

this would be my first car that didn't have them, when i wipe the windshield it is surprising streak-free.

Not sure if they are the same size or not, but try swapping the left and right wiper blades, see if the problem still occurs.

Seriously, try this : cotton ball with a little rubbing alcohol and one or two swipe on blade will help.

I can't believe a person actually drives his/her car in the rain. I plan on keeping it dry and safe in the garage every time it rains. Much easier to keep pristine.

Ok that's a joke. Maybe.

Try cleaning the windshield with Stoners Invisible Glass. Works SO well. Then see what happens next time it's out in the rain.

that's grime. I doubt there's anything wrong with the wiper blades. That's not a model-specific item, other than the size and wiper arm design. Many other Toyota/Lexus models, and other Japanese cars, use the same blade material. Clean the blades with alcohol.
