Default How's your cashmere interior holding up?

I really like the color. It's inviting and I think it makes the interior look more spacious.

But am I going to dread having to keep it clean?

What's your experience with it? Do you have an anxiety attack every time it rains or snows? Can anybody suggest any tips for keeping it clean?

I'm still trying to choose by the way.

I'm having black and don't like it much. It's so easy to show dust and look dirty so fast. If i have my choice again it will be cashmere. Black does make it look sporty but too hot in summer. Cashmere is hard to clean if dirty but to me it look more classy.

Not long after I got the car (Black with cashmere) I ordered a set of the all season floor mats - which are great - I'll use the carpet floor mats on special occasions etc...short of that, the interior has been no worse to keep clean than my previous grey leather interior Maxima - and I really like the tan on black look.

No problems. BUT, I used Scotchguard all over the interior carpets and floormats the day I bought the car. Looks great.

I put in black winter floormats shortly after getting it. On my old BMW, with black/black, you could see all the sand/dirt. The cashmere is actually more forgiving than the black.

The part that gets dusty is the top of the dash, a part that is black even on cashmere cars.

Having had both colors in the past, I prefer the black. After a few years, the light colored leather darkens in spots from contact with skin oils and cosmetics, and unless you hit it with Lexol cleaner on a regular basis, it starts to look dirty and grimey.

Wow those lexus all seaons are nice, are they really 180 bucks (thats what one lexus parts told me)?
Also becareful even if you have the all season floor mats, on heavy snow days the snow can get on the edges and get to the carpet. When I first bought my G35 the dealer put some kind of coating where it makes the carpet water resistant. It was pretty cool because this one time I spilled some water and it was just floating there like it was on top of glass. This treatment was one of those dealer ripoff (600 for exterior and interior) but im sure you can find something that gets the same results.

Wow Dr.C...those Lexus all weather mats look nice with the cashmere.

I too ordered cashmere colored interior. I had black interiors cars in the past 10 years and its about time I changed to something different.

I think Lexus did a great job on interior color combinations. All of them look nice, since I always feel indecisive in picking my interior color.

The mats are only about $90 delivered from our pal Darrel at Sewell.

I changed to the black Lexus matts. The originals looked bad right away.
