Default Auxiliary input for iPod problems

I have the 6-speed IS250 and am having problems with the aux input, want to see if anyone else has noticed it and/or found a way around it.

I have my iPod connected using a standard aux cable from Radio Shack. That works fine. But when I accelerate (especially in low gears), there is a high-pitch squeeling sound through the speakers. It only happens when I am playing music through the aux, not CDs or radio. It isnt all that loud, but it is very annoying.

Has anyone else noticed that? Should I just try a new cable? Any advice would be great...

I used the GLI (ground loop isolator) from Radio Shack for my iPod and XM SkyFi2 unit. Works great. Just read up on the thread that varok posted.

Cheers,
