don't believe so--it should be the same one as Lux package. That's why they are sold separately--if you already have sports, just get the front ones. The rear ones are available for people with base.

So a car that is equipped with the sport package has the ability to light up the scuff plates, but you just need the proper plates? Do you have to plug in the switch or connect something in order for the scuff plates to light up?

Im curious because I am getting an IS350 w/ Sport, NAV, ML, PA, HW and I would like to switch the scuff plates out for ones the illuminated ones...

Very helpful info... I'm glad I didn't order the expensive premium package because I should be able to get a lot of the features ad-hoc.

It's interesting that the back plates don't illuminate because they do on my RX.

the rear plates are too short to include the logo. The only feature from the luxury package you can order separately is the scuff plates; the others, such as heated/ventilated seats, rear sunshade, power tilt steering column, rain-sensing wipers, electrochromatic mirrors, adaptive lighting, etc. are not DIY. I would think most people opt for either the sports or luxury package first, then if the budget allows, choose NAV+/-ML. I suppose that's why it's custom order.

The heated/ventilated seats are part of the premium package, which I ordered.

The rest of the stuff doesn't interest me, especially for thousands of extra dollars.

this is no different than changing a light bulb; there's no need to disconnect the battery--just do it with the ignition off.

The scuff plates are powered whenever the doors are open, unless the dome light is switched off.
I'd make sure the dome light was switched off before connecting the scuff plates.

The lighted sils from Carson are you paying for just the lighted aluminum piece or the entire sill (plastic and aluminum) ??

Kensteele, can you measure the fron and rear aluminum sill plate (length & width)?
Thanks,
Ron G.

Another thing that is different from the RX330 illuminated scuff plates is how it seems on the IS the scuff plates can be turned off with the dome light. On the RX, even if you turn off all the dome light switches (Front and rear) the scuff plates will still illuminate when you open the door or disarm the security system.

The front plate is 18.25" x 1.125"
The rear plate is 7.75" x 1.125"

approximately.

Thanks, It looked like the IS 250/350 lighted sill lettering was exacly like the TTE GS lighted sill size wise. From the measurments you gave me it appears that they (2nd Gen IS) are smaller

I don't have an IS250/350 but I was thinknig of a way that you 2nd Gen guys could make a lighted rear sill plate from a front one.. If the lighted lettering section is about 6.75" or less I think it is possible.
from your pic can you send me measure ment A,b and C? thanks.
