IS 350 Color Availability
Hey everyone, I have a very important question.
Is the 350 only being produced in certian colors? I ask this b/c I was at my local lexus dealer, and told my salesman that I wanted it in Breakwater Blue. He then informed me that the 350 is only available in tungsten, blue and black onyx, smokey granite and matador red!!
Is this true?? It blew my mind when he told me this . I could have sworn I read a post somewhere about someone actually seeing one.
I'm in the Northeast, Ct, right outside of NYC. Any and all help would be great guys!!

All colors should be available for the 350. However, some colors are harder to find, and some exterior color and interior color combinations may need to be special ordered.
Ask your dealer for an allocation list. That should tell you if the colors you want are available.

Is there the possibility of my dealer getting it from another dealer in a different region?

I've been told repeatedly (at a number of different dealerships) that region-to-region transfers between dealerships are not possible -- that only same-region swaps can be done because of the way vehicle models are stocked. Was that incorrect?

Depending on model and options, Lexus ships certain alotments of cars to each region per shipment (usually monthly shipment). Everything else needs to be special ordered from the factory or obtained from another region.
For instance, in the bay area (California) for Jan 2006, the 350 LT LN package (Luxury + Nav + ML) comes in either granite mica, tungsten and silver(something). The dealer in Serramonte, CA told me that everything else would have to be special ordered.

Before I bought my car, I asked my dealer if they could maybe transfer a car from anywhere else, and they said that because this car is so rare, no other dealerships will give up their cars.
