Our fogs are 9006 and I would assume most people would want the 3000k for the fogs. Any type of GB would be nice since I'm itching to get these lights in. Sign me up for 4300k.

hi guys im new to the forums and i was looking around the internet for some hids.
should i get the 6000k or 8000k? also i found a place that sells the whole kit for about $300 is this good ? well here is the site let me know what u guys think of it

A kit is made up of several components:
-A rebased bulb (This is an HID bulb fitted to a non-OEM HID base, like our H11 fittings)
-A Ballast to control power output
-Igniters to "light" the bulbts, they initially require a large spike of power. In some kits, the igniters are integrated into the ballast
-Wiring harnesses - This can be as simple as a wire going from the factory bulb harness to the ballast, and back from the ballast to the bulb. Due to the initial power spike required by HIDs, some factory wiring may not be able to handle the load on setups done this way (our cars appear to be fine so far). In those cases a wire is run directly from the battery.
The quality and brand of the components above all make a difference in the overall quality of the kit, price isn't everything. You could buy a kit using Korean bulbs, with ballasts coming from China, alternatively, there are kits using high-grade wiring, brand name ballasts (Hella, Philips) and brand name bulbs (Philips, Osram, etc.).
XenonDepot.com has some decent kits, people also have had good things to say about the kits from Proxenon. There are lots of kits on eBay, but don't shop on price alone.

Spend a little more money to get a good kit instead of a cheesy one. A good site to buy HID kits is www.xenondepot.com. They're a little pricey but you get what you pay for.
Btw, stock HID bulbs are 4300k. This temp will give you the most light output but it won't give you a blueish color. It'll look super white. If you must go higher in temp, the highest you should go is 6000k.
