Default 2013 lexus??

anyone tried this on the latest models? i was kinda under the impression that it didnt work any more. just got my wife an RX and i kinda wanted to do it. oddly enough, i had to turn it back ON when i sold one of my old RX's to my crazy grandmother because she doesn't wear hers all the time.

Thanks. The same can be accomplished with a seat belt extender, but that's a last resort. I really just want to be able to control when the chime is on or off like on the 2IS models. I've done some basic research and it looks like you may need a laptop and the Lexus diagnostic software to set the chime on the 2014 models.

Does anyone know if Lexus dealerships have seat belt extenders and provide them at no charge like the US auto makers?

Glad to see there's an easy way to change this. I could not stand the fact that it continues to CHIME even in Park (if you come to a stop).

Don't worry, I only leave it off if I'm driving up/down my driveway for whatever reason.

3. turn the ignition to the LOCK (OFF) position

5. turn the key to the ON position again press the start button twice. when the dash lights comes on, press and hold the trip reset button and count a slow 12 seconds. (editor's note, hold it more like 30 sec)
6. while still holding the trip reset button, buckle the driver's side seatbelt.
7.and the odometer display should read "b ON" or "b OFF". toggle the beep OFF with the trip reset.
8. the process should be completed when you unbuckle or turn the key off.

Took some patience and quite a few tries but this eventually worked on my '08 GS 350. Finally peace and quiet as I head out the driveway and my wife finally gets her belt on after she finishes storing her gear...

Thanks for the original post!

I did the youtube video and now mine's off. I love it, no more annoying sound of the alarm. I can relax now. Safety is number one so don't ignore not wearing your seat belt.
