Default Is this true...28GB of DVD music?

4.7GB DVD in a 6disc DVD changer. Has anyone tried this yet? I'm asking because if this is the case, I wouldn't need my iPod in the car.

I tried burning an mp3 DVD in hopes that I could do what you were thinking but, no luck for me. It said it couldn't read the dis. I have ML without nav. Maybe I formatted the DVD improperly. Perhaps the ML w/ nav will. I have more music than that anyway on my iPod.
Has anyone else done this with the same setup I have?

Default 48 GB using Dual Layer DVDs

If it can read dual layer data DVDs you could run 48-50 GB of music... now that would be something.

it doesn't play mp3.... you need to make them into dvd-a audio dvd.

Do you mean it doesn't play mp3 when it's on DVD, but does when it's on CD?

On the 3GS ML, it must be in DVD-A format. I'm assuming it's the same for the IS ML.

Yep, you're correct, but I can convert my MP3's into AC3 format and then burn them onto an audio DVD and play them on the ML.

Unlike the GS, the new IS does play MP3 and WMA burned on a DVD-ROM disc, BUT only if the IS is equipped with BOTH Nav and ML. Only this configuration will get you a DVD changer instead of just a CD changer. End of story.

And yeah, burning them on dual-layer discs is even more awesome.

Can the ML play MP3 on DVD while the car is moving?

I don't see why not. The only things that are disabled while the car is moving are the video part of a DVD movie and the ability to access certain navigation functions.
