Question Finding a 350 w/Mark Levinson Sound

I'm in So Cal and none of the Lexus dealers here can get hold of a 350 w/the Mark Levinson Sound system (or so they say). Has anyone actually taken delivery on the ML??

I don't think they received any 350's with ML in the first allocation and I've been told they won't be getting them any time soon.

So, I special ordered a few weeks ago to get exactly what I wanted.

OK .. so there are none available in So Cal .. they must be shipping somewhere in the lower 48 states. Does anyone know where they are being shipped?

That's false. Longo and Jim Falk Beverly Hills had IS350 w/ ML & NAV pre-sold...but allocated to their dealerships in the first shipment.

At best, it was a tiny percentage and are long gone with none on the horizon...

True?

I called the Lexus 800 number .. and the person on the other end confirmed that no ML systems were being shipped to the west coast.

I think I might have found some ML systems in Chicago (at least the Lexus internet site claims they are there when u build your own).

I can special order to anyone (and wait 60 days) .. but I would want a 350 w/ML sooner rather than later.

If you do special order, you should count on more than 60 days as that seems to be the bare minimum, with 90-120 days also being quoted by dealers.

Mine told me 3 months which I took to mean at least four.

I'd like to get one before my bones start rotting in the grave. Has anyone heard of better availability out of state??

I posted about this awhile back. Do a quick search and you'll find there are ML cars all over Missouri and Kansas, down to Texas, across to Mississippi up to Illinois and even into Minnesota. My ML-equipped 350 will be here at the end of the month, it is coming from Portland? non-stop which means it won't be hanging around on the West Coast you are correct. But don't let anyone tell you that Lexus didn't ship ML-equipped cars.

Southwest Airlines has <$150 one-way tickets you can fly halfway across the country, pickup your car and take a couple of days to drive back across the Rockies and enjoy your ML car for the next five years. Or you can wait until June.

I've done some google searches for lexus dealers in the midwest .. and fired off some emails (no reply as of yet). How can I check if the dealer carries the IS 350 w/ML, they're reputable, etc??

Thanx ..

I find that hard to believe. The people at the 800 call center are just customer service reps that have basic information. They're at the bottom of the totem pole...mostly trainees or interns.

All the ML cars are in the Midwest. Just ask your dealer if they would be willing to swap vehicles across regions. If they will, then your ML car can be there in 1 week. If they won't then find another dealer that will or special order it.

The two salespeople I've talked with so far have been not been supportive at all. I need to hunt around for a dealership that will "play ball". Thanx for the advice.

Yeah that's the problem. A lot of dealerships are not willing to play ball this early in the game. There must be like 11 Lexus dealerships in Chicago....good luck.
