This stuff rocks for wheels (far right pic spray bottle)

We have liters of this stuff too! It is a great product. I've also put a nice coating of something called Wheel Wax on the rims. Helps keep that brake dust to a minimum, then I don't have to use so much P21. If there is stuff that doesn't come off easily, then I have two kids with real small fingers to get into all the little folds

Ron,
You know where the house is, come on by any time. Just call first just in case we're out breaking her in some more.

Maybe I'm just dense, ok not maybe I guess I am, but I'm confused. If I wanted to do exactly the same thing that you did (spyder rims and swap out the tires at the dealership) how much would it cost me? It can't cost $2,250, can it?

Well, if the car came with 18s and the right tires, then you just need to buy the rims. Someone said earlier $245 each. At roughly $250, that's $1000 (+tax and/or shipping if you bought it elsewhere) for the rims. You just need to find out how much they will charge you to swap the tires (mount, balance).

I think someone here said that those wheels can be had for $250 ea. Plus mounting and ballancing. I had a list of the prices but I left it in my toolbox at work. You would buy it like you would chrome wheels from the dealer (an accessory like a bra or a car cover)

That would also include swapping out the tire sensors for the low tire pressure warning system.

$1000 for everything? If someone wants to stay with the OEM wheels, that's not bad for dealer work = dealer warranty.

Gotcha. Must have missed that part. I knew $2250 seemed crazy high.

$250 ea is much more reasonable.

Thanks

She said the rims were $225. That's $900 for the set. Plus, if you keep the original rims, you can sell them, perhaps on eBay or maybe ask your dealer for what they are worth.

The dealer will keep the original wheels as a core.

If they are making me buy rims from them then there is no way I'm leaving the originals at the dealer. Period.

O.K., lets say you bought a starter and the place you bought it from charges you a "core charge" untill you return the old one. The core is the old one. They will keep the old wheels.

Default Making You Buy?

Vit, No one is making you do anything. If you want to keep the original wheels, then you would have to work it out with the dealer you go to.
