How is he "da man"? Question...where did the money come from that you used to invest? Secondly...you should be using investment funds to prepare for your future...say early retirement....not to piss away on a car. Freakin kids...

Considering the 350 with sport package, Nav and ML. While I can afford a larger car or a more sporty car I find this a nice balance between luxury and sport with an exellent dealership standing behind the product they sell.
52 year-old black male; married; father (14 yr.-old daughter); recovering attorney. `Thought about getting an IS250 AWD, but opted instead for an `05.5 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro for daily driver. Price was the driving factor on this selection. [Also own an `04 SC430 and an `04 GX470.]
I currently drive a 2000 BMW 323ci with 85k miles. I've had the car for 5 1/2 years now and it's averaging around 15k a year. I think it's about time to get a new car. My price range is questionable as I am looking for the best value for the money. It can be anywhere between 35k to 55k depending on the value and luxury.
I would be paying for it by myself. However, I would be trading in my BMW which my parents bought me...so that would help with payments. I got the BMW as a College Graduation present. I now make roughly 100k as a commodities analyst so I know I can afford it. However, I still have a house to think about (my wife and I are renting). My wife is bringing around 80k but that might change if we have kids. She is currently driving a 2001 RAV 4 AWD which is extremely practical and which we will keep around for awhile.
I have been looking for 2 months now and I finally got to see the car at the Lexus event at Belmont, NY. It's a great car but I am a little dissapointed in the price for the IS350. I keep on thinking to myself is it worth 41k+? Why not spend a little more and either get a GS, 5-series, or an A6? Heck...even the Porsche Boxter 'starts' at 45k. I was hoping it would be between 35k and 40k. Also, the reason why I'm not going to get another 3 series?...maintenance headaches. Once the warranty runs out, your screwed. There are so many little electical problems that I have to deal with.
Anyway, I blabbed too much...I'll stop here. In the meantime, I'll keep looking and weighing my options.
