Default New to Lexus

Hey everyone! My name is Miles aka Grizzly Miles (big o beard)
1. Is250
2. RWD
3. Pearl White
4. 18s baby
5. Spoiler
6. Beige
7. I'm the 2nd owner. Bought used of a local dealership. I believe it has a lip kit all around. Likely had some nice wheels once too, markings including position were on my tires haha. I did plasti dip as well on my wheels just the other day. Badges and a chrome grill that were on the car. I do have a facebook page for my plasti dip (hobby not job) Dipped By Grizzly. I post lots of pictures there.
I drive a subaru wrx daily and am part of NASIOC. This is the wifes car/next toy. Lucky me, I married a motor head. She still keeps her s13 as a weekend warrior. All pictured.

Yea the plastidip was real easy. the dipyourcar.com site has good videos on the easiest way to do the wheels and emblems. It does take a few coats so its pretty time consuming and I didn't take my wheels off I did them on the car with plastic over the rotors. it would be way easier if you pulled the wheels but I didn't feel like it. My wife even curbed 2 of them and I just sprayed more dip on them and you cant even tell it happened.

Now the chrome around the windows is a different story it was pretty damn hard to peal the excess off which is why I haven't done the passenger side yet

FYI, you are looking at about 1 full can per wheel to get a nice coating on it.

Default Happy IS250 owner from the Netherlands

Hello everyone,

I'm not new on this forum, but I've used it extensively to find information before purchasing my first Lexus, an IS250. I don't have so many pictures at the moment, just one in fact because of the lousy weather conditions at the moment, but I'll ask a colleague to take a few pictures with his gear. His hobby is photography, cars in particular. My previous car (an Audi A4 Avant 3.0 TDI Quattro) is beautiful on his pictures.

Well, here's the list about my IS:

1. It's the 250 automatic in Executive trim (it's got all the factory options except sunroof and iPod integration)
2. It's my first RWD car, last one was AWD and I must admit, that was awesome!
3. It's a dark granite gray exterior color
4. It's got the standard 17" wheels in staggered setup for summer tyres and the exact same set of wheels for winter tyres.
5. It doesn't have a spoiler, because in my opinion it doesn't need one
6. Interior color is black leather with wooden trim on console and door panels.
7. I've considered a BMW 3-series (E90 model) but after a test drive for about an hour I was glad to be back at the dealer. I got so many impressions from the steering wheel and the chair, it was wearing my out. My Audi filtered a lot of impressions, sometimes a bit too much, but it didn't wear me out. The IS250 was the perfect match for my senses: a more sportively drive, with added comfort, sharpness and fun than the Audi, but not so tiring to drive as the 3-series.
8. Just one picture at the moment...

Hi all, my wife just got this yesterday. We got hit with heavy snow yesterday and my wife and I were surprised by how well this performed for being RWD. It does have Bridgestone Blizzack tires though. My last 2 cars have been Subarus (WRX, Forester XT) which do great in winter. We were a little concerned with the miles 80,600 but she liked it enough to pull the trigger. My dad's LX470 is coming on 150,000 miles with no serious problems so I hope Lexus quality will pull through for us. Not sure what to do when summer comes. Do any of you who live in the midwest have 2 sets of wheels?

Hello all,

I just purchase a 2006 IS250 AWD, Matador Red Mica. I am looking forward to learning new things about this car. I also work at Lexus as a detailer and accessories installer.

Plans for the car: exhaust work, staggered wheels, coilovers, front lip and rear diffuser.

Nice, my car was originally from Illinois, according to service records that were in the car. You can't get by without awd in Mn.

I'm new to the forum.

I don't own a Lexus. I'm looking at a 2012 Lexus IS 250. I'm trying to get the dealer to sell it to me at the right price I want. I signed up on the forum actually to find a topic on pricing so I can ask/post if i'm in the right ball park with my price.
