The IS 250 has a flash advertisement on Yahoo Taiwan's front page...

It links to a Lexus IS 250 site for Taiwan, which IMHO is better than the US 'thenewis.com'...for one, it comes with 3 choices of music...and slide shows, etc.

The IS250 is already being shown in a few dealers in Taipei, Taiwan. People are praising about the car's high quality but b*tching about the major price hike over the IS200, from NT$1,2x0,000 to NT$1,720,000.

Hmmm, that price jump would be justified perhaps if they went to the IS 350...but Lexus sales are strong in Taiwan, right?

Yeah...for 2004 it's the 4th largest market for Lexus behind the US, UK and Canada.

For 2005 and on it'll probably be the 5th due to Japan now selling Lexus. They'll have to do it in 3 months with only 3 models though, so it's still hard to say.

NT $1,720,000 a pretty hefty markup...did some looking and I guess much of the disparity between US prices is the import tax?
