So I put down some money too but it didn't appear to be all that official. Nothing was even in the system, no "order" was actually taken; more like a promise. Is this any different from anyone else?

Same for me

When I put my money down it guaranteed I would have first choice, but they did not know exactly what is coming in.

My choices: Black or Tungsten Pearl, with the Premium Luxury Plus Package w/ 18" wheels and Mark Levinson w/Nav

I'm hoping to find out more details this week.

My understanding is that the deposit is refundable, so you could leave a deposit and change your mind later. Or wait and take the chance that there will be a run on the cars when they get here and you end up waiting another 6 months to get one.
hello, just wondering whom you dealt with over at Magnussen? I am too are looking to get IS350(duh ), cant hardly wait to see them in person, just hope I wont get dispointed with the price.

Spoke to Kathleen Xu. Very nice lady and good customer follow-up. I've been bugging her at least once a week to try and find out pricing, delivery date, etc. , but apparently even the sales people are being kept in the dark until the last possible moment.
Also decided to change my request to an IS350 instead of the IS250 manual. I thought the manual would get better gas mileage, but the 350 is pretty much equal, AND 100+ more ponies.
Thanks flipside909 for posting those EPA ratings and helping me spend more money !

As far as the manual getting better mileage it really depends on how you drive it. Jason had a manual IS 300 and believe it or not I got better mileage in my 430.

I won't be the only one driving it. And even if I was, I'm not exactly a conservative driver. When driving the GS, I kinda like the fact that I can get on the freeway and get up to 80mph while still on 3 with the eshift

Cann't wait Ryan, I can already taste it. Oh yeah, I just ate. LOL Never mind. Anyway, you've got quite a bit of places to choose from up here. Looking forward to it.

Since we haven't heard from you (in over 3 weeks), I assume you did NOT get that call with the allocation list?

i did get the call later that week.. but they only specified that there will be 20 to 25 IS250/IS350s arriving in the first shipment at that dealership. and they're willing to do a vehicle swap w/ any of the other 3 lexus dealers in town if needed.
