freakin sweet.

Now again, how exactly is 330i best sports sedan when it is THE SLOWEST ENTRY LUXURY SEDAN. Huh? It is slower in 0-60, 1/4 mile, 50-70mph, 80-120 mph, it is slower on the damn track than everything else in its category. It brakes down during the testing. It has lifted back lights from Daewoo Lanos, it has 80's interior, it is the most expensive car with by far the lowest torque, and it wins?

I said it last time, and I will say it again - 330i owners definetly need to bring mags with them, so they can read how their car is the best, while IS350 outlaps/outruns it or when a friend with IS gives them an lift to BMW service shop...

:-).

and P.S. we had flip test the damn car. VDIM called in 1 time only and he said he couldnt notice it. Now thats without performance package. VDIM is clearly not an issue.

p.s. I remember there was some argument about G35 vs IS350...

0-60 - 5.9 vs 5.1
1/4m- 14.6 vs13.7
@mph- 98 vs 104

and this is clearly apples to apples - latest models, same track, same conditions, same drivers. And thats 6MT vs 6AT... How much slower would g35 AT be? :-).

SPwolf, the 330i is not the slowest entry sport sedan on the market by any means. Just look above my post for the times. Pure acceleration is not the only aspect by which to measure a car. If I was looking for the fastest car for the dollar I'd sign up for some of the SRT-8's coming out of Chrysler/Dodge, or a GTO.

Thanks for the compliments on my 330, I'll be sure to compliment you all on your future IS purchases, I can't wait to see/drive the car in person. I don't like to "magazine race" cars. As I can probably find any magazine somewhere to yield the results that I want to shape.

It is quieter and doesn't offer a manual. That is not to be confused with boring. The IS is going to take sales from EVERYONE, no one is immune to it.

im !!!sold when is the exact relace date?

This is really a great number for IS . Imagine how it would do with MT. I love everything about this car. My only concern is the rather boxy tail.

Skidpad & lane change numbers are quite surprising. I find it hard to believe that a FWD TL won these categories in quite large margin.

0-60 in 5.1s is simply mind-boggling for the segment IS350 is targeting!! Whoever drove the IS350 for C&D must be one helluva maniac to be able to extract such a performance from it. It's strange, however, that C&D was able to get BMW 330i to run 0-60 in 5.6s but only 6.0s this time around. The driver was in a bad mood driving the 330i this time?

I'm surprised to see the 330i gets a 9 in the ride department while the IS350 gets only a 7. BMW's suspension tuning is simply amazing, offering both perfect handling AND great riding comfort. Somehow I gotta agree to some degree that the 330i is truly a more balanced, complete package, the controversial exterior and interior styling, and the fact that it broke down during the test notwithstanding.

The IS 350 ROCKS!!!!

One point from the BMW, that's a tossup!

Now whoever said the IS was not up to snuff in challenging the BMW, this is the proof!!!!

I hope the rear seat room is at least close to the 3-series, having sat in the '06 3-series, I think it's rear seat is adequate and improved over '05, I hope the new IS rear seat is good enough.

All I want to know is - "when is the IS350 coming to local dealers so that I can take one for a test drive???"

in the comparison test they said that the IS350 had the smallest least comfortable rear seats in the test.

whoa whoa whoa who's driving it this coming wednesday! haha

the accleration times are top notch, as is that "9" for subjective handling grading. however, the low, low lane change mph is quite saddening. also, didn't know a FWD TL could get such high numbers for skidpad.

hey are we gonna get to preview the car before it comes out like with the GS?
