Sorry I took so long to get this to you, I guess it give sort of a 180 "fluid view" so you can appreciate some of the proportions more, but that's about it, it's not exciting or heart pounding IMO ;-)

Thanks for the video Andre. The quality is actually quite good. Good job man.

The IS is oddly silent throughout the entire video. I tried very hard to listen to the idle engine and the light throttle but all I could manage to hear were the cars passing by and the lift towards the end. Seems to be yet another typical silent engine from Toyota/Lexus.

In Peter Lyons' review :
and the exhaust has even been given a beefy, metallic note for extra sportiness

I guess the engine only comes to life under full throttle, which is good. Who needs a beefy, metallic note when cruising on highway anyway?

Even my G35c is pretty quiet when cruising on the highway .

lol, glad you like the video. I didn't say the engine wasn't quiet, that's something I take for Granted with Toyota (the Nissan truck in the background is my commuter... It's loud as heck) But the lack of a beefy exhaust note was disappointing, I do hope it appears under a full throttle... I wish I'd gotten there sooner to get you more pics and video, I only hope someone in Austin can find the group (They should be out there by now). LexusFan, there were two trucks in San Diego, so there are probably more in other places too ;-)

yup...probably

they probably left Austin by now...it only takes a day or two (maximum), and then they would stay a couple of more days, and then head out...so they should be gone by now

them brake lights light up with the same immediacy as the third light does, which is promising.

Did anyone get to hear the engine through "thenewis.com" webpage? It sounds like a zip or zoom, rather than a beefy roar or grunt(does anyone else get this? )...

When you choose to find more info on the IS, you get your choice of Style, Speed, Design, or Safety. At the bottom of the page, there is a mini profile of the car that when you touch it with the pointer, it zooms off screen to the right, then reappears from the left. I don't know if this is just a sound byte or the actual sound of the car...

Yes the CHMSL as well as the taillights are LED.
