Argggghh #*&^!@$&* I can't wait any longer... I'm so bored with my ES300 that I've been looking at cars that don't even compare!
It's a GREAT car, but it's just so... not my style. Plus every 3rd car I see is a 97-01 ES
I really, REALLY hope the IS350 is worth the wait. I definitely wasn't disappointed with the new GS, since Lexus managed to perfect an already near-perfect vehicle. I'm looking for something faster, more fuel efficient, more personality, and a lot more functionality as well.
Sorry for ranting, but I get more fun out of driving my mom's RX330 than I do my ES Great car, just... not me.
...And the cupholders suck.

Yeah, the ES is like soft silk...beautiful, quiet, and calm. The epitome of luxury....the new IS, it is not just tearing silk, it rips it to shreds...........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More aggressive personality!!!!!!!

It all started when I took my girlfriend to look at a Scion tC for her... and then driving my dad's 06 GS430 around for the week (housesitting while they're out of town) doesn't help any either.
Question though... does anyone know if it's going to have a musical exhaust note, like the G35 coupe, for example?

Edit: found it
It's on the right side in the door panel. The little circular bump-out in the panel is a cupholder, I'm guessing. That's a manual 250 though, so I don't know if they're going to put ones in the center console area for the automatics, like the current IS and GS have.

I thought that was a bottleholder type of thing, as the 'bumps' are also available on the back seat pockets.
...I so wish I could sit in the New IS and try those things out!!!

That said, I hope we all don't have too-high expectations, not to be disappointed of course...but with Lexus it's hard not to have high expectations.
