It's highly unlikely they'll tune the IS350 differently just for the teeny Canadian market I think, especially it's the 250, not the 350 that will be the cheaper, big selling model. Usually, what USA gets, Canada will get, just less choices in say color combinations, option packages variations etc.

And that's 309.78 American hp. So the 310hp figure that CDN_Lexus converted for us is still correct.

Come on, 310 hp is good enough for now, they'll have to leave some room for future hp bumps say, 2 years later

The only last two pieces of the puzzle left unresolved are just pricing and the option list now.

BTW, the drag co-efficient of 0.274 Cd is amazing, particularly for a compact car!

Good observation. The IS350 (not IS250 though) is probably gonna be the first Lexus with a staggered wheel setup.

Maybe, but not necessarily, the G35c stock wheels set-up had staggered tires, but not staggered rims.

I hope US spec will be different. i.e. leather power seats for IS250, and 17" wheels for IS250 RWD.

Default Woo hoo!

Looks like heated/ventilated seats are standard on the 350. As are heated side view mirrors (so nice in the winter). Shame it says that the car won't be out until October (hopefully US release will be earlier).

Thanks for posting these, Xerok00L...they were VERY interesting.
Right now the IS250 AWD is in a neck-and-neck race with the Subaru Legacy / Outback as my next new car.

why does the IS250 have less HP than the Mark X, when they use the same 2.5 GR

i thought that the IS would've had the same as the Mark since Lexus is suppose to be the luxury brand

I'd sure hope so. 17" is the starting point for the Japanese cars in the segment.

Two things struck me by the Canadian model. Summer tires on the IS250 (yet all seasons on the 350) and 12:1 compression ratio. Lots of TBDs in there still. I have a feeling that the 201 HP is being lowballed. How much you want to bet in the near future the engine will somehow will make like 215HP (a la G35 HP bump) with very little actually being done to it. The more interesting numbers will be the real performance numbers. What do those 201HP/184tq numbers feel like when one is driving it? Given the weight penalty (most cars in the segment are lighter), 0-60 times might mean a rear of the pack performance car.
