Some promising info from Ratman009. I look forward to seeing the pics. Here's another pic of the backseat. If pic is not there (my first attempt), go to exoticcarsite.com or autospies.com. Looks roomy but you don't know the position of the front seat. Glad to hear that ingree/egress wasn't a problem. Because as previously stated, the rear door opening looks small. My '96 Contour rear opening looks bigger but ingree/egress is difficult - the seat bottom blocks most of the opening.
You're probably right about the trunk also. The new GS trunk is only 12.7cf so the IS is proably in the 11cf range. I agree about the folding reat seat. My Contour has it and is very useful.

That does look pretty good; seatback relationship to B-pillar looks similar, maybe even pushed back a bit, compared to my normal seating position in the GS. I'm encouraged!

That pic does look promising. Let's hope that the entry & exit is not too tight seeing that the rear door is kinda small.
You know it's not been mentioned here but I remember reading on the new GS board when the new GS first came out that the leather being used wasn''t that great buttery leather and the smell didn't stay long time. I have a 98 SC400 and it still have buttery smooth black leather and my car still smells brand new cause the leather still smells great after all these years.
I hope Lexus uses quality leather like they are known for.
Nice pic above, I had not seen that one before, any other rear inside pics not posted before??

Finally got those pics
Finally got back from vacation to put those pics i promised up. The first one shows the lexus rep in the front seat (He's 6'1"). If you look at his legs, you'll see that they are waaay stretched out (as he said, too far away to drive comfortably). He moved the seat forward about 1-1.5 inches from the first picture (into an actual comfortable driving position) and then proceeded to get into the back seat for me. Pictures two and three show him in the back. Notice that he is not splaying his legs to the side of the front seatback. Also, it looked like he didn't push his **** all the way into the seat. From seeing the car in person, it looks like the rear seats are very deep, which should help out with leg room. There was some actual headroom in the back, Wayne was just leaning forward in these shots so he could keep talking to me while giving the little "demo." Hope this helps out some. I'll still have to wait to sit in this thing myself, but I am defnitely hopeful. Now if only they'd make a fold down rear seat. . .

Where is pic 2 & 3 you referred to? All I see is pic #1.
Please re-post pic 2 & 3 please.

No problem
Since there has been no news of any substance on this car in like a month, I figured some of you guys would appreciate this. Speaking of which, has anyone gotten any info lately on when they will be announcing pricing, or when the cars will be on dealer lots? I was really hoping to buy my new car by September at the latest.

Thanks for the other pics.
It's sorta hard to tell how much he moved the front seat up before seating in the back for the pic. But it looks sorta tight for a 6 ft guy in the back, ok maybe for short trips but not for long.
Then again will have to wait to feel it out for myself to say for sure. I wonder if there is a place for your feet under the seat? There is none in a E46 for rear pass for their feet.

Here's what he did
From the first pic where he was too far from the pedals, he moved the seat forward about 1.5 inches before getting into the back seat. The back seat is by no means large, but it should definitely be at least as big as an E46 3 series, and probably a touch smaller than the new E90. By no means is it a G35 sedan or TL.
