Unhappy Powerseat won't move forward.

Hi all,

So I have a 2001 IS300 and after pumping gas I got back into the car and tried to move my seat forward again, it wouldn't move. It moves back and up/down but won't move forward.

I tried to see if there's anything jammed under there but can't really see much.

The dome light dims when i try to move the seat forward but I can't hear any thing. i.e. a motor working.

Can someone please help. i'm quite petite so not having the seat where it should is a bit of a challenge.

the actuator may have gone bad. try removing the seat adjuster cover but pulling it towards you (if you're in front looking straight at it). you'll see the levers...if I remember correctly, they're the white circular ones. find the one that moves the seat forward and back; use your fingers to move it left (which would be moving the chair forward). if it moves forward then, the actuator is good and there may be something jammed or blocking the cover of the seat adjuster when it's installed. if the seat doesn't move forward, you'll have to bring it in. good luck.
