Question is300 starts and dies immediatley

my 2001 lexus is 300 (253k miles) took a dump when my brother n law was borrowing it. one morning on the way to work it died on them. It would crank the engine would turn over but it wouldn't start. I work at a dodge dealership so I brought it over to the shop and decided to put a fuel pump in it, so I replaced it and now the car starts and dies immediately the vehicle will run when I spray throttle body cleaner in the intake im getting fuel to the injector rail but the car will not stay running anyone have suggestions me and my buddy who is a mechanic at the dealership have no ideas on what else it could be he has come to a conclusion that it is a fuel issue but does anyone have any other ideas on what it could be plz help asap!!!!

There is no regulator on the rail - what you are seeing is the fuel dampener.

The regulator is in the tank and likely would have been replaced when the fuel pump was replaced.

This is an interesting issue for sure.
