Default 2005 Lexus Is300 (Auto) INJEN INTAKE problems!!

Hello Everyone,

Well i have brought INJEN Intake for my 05 Lexus is300 (auto). I have drove my car with the intake for like 50 -75 miles and the check engine lights and the Trac lights pops up. Never had this problem with my stock intake. Can anyone please inform me how to fix it or whats going on? i have posted some pictures to see if i missed something when i installed it. Thanks a million

which generation intake is it? The 3rd gens don't cause CELs. The other two require a heat-shield to be installed. I have a 3rd gen and it's been perfect, not a single issue.

I will get back to you with the codes because I have disconnected the battery so they are not showing up at the moment. Thanks

I believe its the last gen. I bought it from a friend of mine that totalled his IS. Also checked in the injen website and is the exactly the same one I have, they don't sell it with the heat shield.

Default check engine light on traction control light flashing

most likely it's yr o2 sensor b2 S2 (bank 2 sensor 2)bottom bottom right exhaust easyfix hopefully this helps.there's like 12 to 16 different codes for the same problem but codes
nevertheless it does help and narrow down your search problems

If the CEL is being caused by air turbulence, your new heat shield is not going to do anything for your CEL problem. You need one that closes off the filter from the rest of the engine bay.

Notice how the one on my car allows the scoop to bring in cooler air, but has a flap that keeps the air from directly blowing onto the filter.

Where can I get the cover? I'm about to buy the heat shield and this cover. Hope it will resolve it. If not my next step would be my sensors

This is the one.

Note: I'm using an Apexi filter, but I don't think that makes a difference.

Is that an SRT with AEM stickers..?!?

EDIT: DUDE!! I think your hoses are put on backwards!!!

Swap them, that might be causing your check engine light

Route your hoses like this, see if it works.

You need to determine the codes first so you will have an idea what the problem was instead of guessing and jumping all over the "probable" problems. Scan it once the code appear again.
