Lightbulb How much is this Turbo IS300 worth?

New to the forum and would like to know what you guys think the value of a car im looking at it. It's a black on black, 5spd, srt turbo 2002 IS300. Friend of mine used to own the car, the new owner blew the stock transmission within two weeks (expected). When my friend owned it he had all the spark plugs, gaskets, etc. changed and had it tuned to run much better than when he first got it. Right now the car is a 45 minute drive from my house and it needs to be towed back if I buy it. Called a local shop that does a lot of work on 2JZ engines and they said they could sell and install a r154 transmission for 2100$. Current owner is asking for 10k, but I brought him down to 9. Current owner bought it for around 14k, my buddy before him got it for 10.5k.

Pros:
-380+/- hp
-engine has less than 30k miles
-everything done right as far as the manual swap and turbo install
-black on black
-we know the complete history of the car
-sunroof, full leather, heated seats
-TURBOOOOO

Cons:
-body has 170k miles
-have to get it fixed (around 2500$ for good measure)
-passenger seat has 4" tear on lower back portion
-rims curbed
-cruise control not working/needs fixing
-bumpers have small/minor damage
-car was in a rear collision, but was fixed, no frame damage, and has clean title

Been getting some people telling me I should jump on it at 9k and others saying I should pay no more than 7500 to 8000 for it. What do you guys think?

Appreciate it,

-B

P.S. anybody know whether or not the clutch would need replacement as well? currently has aftermarket performance one on there and not sure if the blown transmission would have caused it trouble, thanks

Clutch and flywheel will need replacement, since you are switching transmissions.
7-8k would be reasonable, since the car needs major work and is currently broken.

are you sure I would need to have those replaced? the guy at the shop said I just need the r154 transmission and the bellhousing for it to make it fit.
