Default Question about lowering a is300

Im putting on lowering springs tonight and i called the alignment shop and they said i might have to get control arms.. Its a 1.5 drop in the front and 1.9 in the back.. For all of you guys that have lowered your car that much did you need to get control arms? Noob question this is my first time lowering a car. Also any other tips about lowering the car would help. Thanks in advance
