Default New to the is300 lexus game

Jus bought a is300 for a year now...it was about 73xxx miles and now it's at 85xxx...only thing I've done is oil change every 30xx miles...still runs smooth but should I do any new changes or fix anything around it?

Feedbacks are greatly appreciated

@ 90000 mileages you should get your waterpump and timing belt replaced. Which seems like you're approaching that very soon.

Where should I take it to? Or can I possibly do it myself? Cuz I have a buddy mechanic

Certified mechanic is best and experienced with Japanese cars. I wouldnt do it myself because there are alot of steps. Avoid dealers if you can, they tend to cost double of a good service shop. Yelp reviews are helpful too if you dont know anyone personally

You could possibly do it yourself, depends on your experience level. The 2jz engine in your IS is an interference motor. Meaning if the timing is off due to improper belt install you will cause massive internal damage. Best bet is either dealer or independent Toyota/Lexus shop. I am a tech with Lexus and doing your belt would run roughly 5-600. Good luck and let me know if you need any help.
