Default 2003 Lexus is300 potential transmission problem?

Hey everyone, my first post on the site

I have a 2003 Lexus is300. Almost 200k miles. Overall I haven't had any major problems with the car at this point. Here is the problem I am experiencing:

The car is automatic and drives fine until I get to 60MPH. I get to this speed usually on the highway. Once I reach 60, the car doesn't accelerate any more. If I am not mistaken the car still revs like it wants to accelerate but it just wont budge.

I checked the transmission fluid, it's at the right level but it's really dark?

Any and all feedback is appreciated.

Do the RPM's keep increasing and yet the speed doesn't increase? Are you driving on a flat highway?

Teriyakwag, thank you for your question. Once I get to 60, I don't believe the RPM's increase. What do you think?

can you shift through the gears manually. Keep it out of D and see if you can get it to rev up in 2 -3 and pass 60mph. perhaps turn OD off. That would tell you if its a sync issue with a gear inside the transmission.
