I haven't had to smog it yet, but it should pass the sniffer. There's also a new smog test called an electronic download in California. Unfortunately, that is the test that was used when the owner smogged the car to sell it. You are allowed 1 failure, and the test for the catalyst was never completed since the previous owner drove the car just far enought to reset all the engine codes except the catalyst. That's why I had to pick up the new manifolds. I prefer catless as well, but I already have my WS6 with no smog equipment...
