Throttle body intake clean
Hey guys so I'm currently in the process of making my IS a 2jzge-T and can't wait to post all pics for you guys to see how the build went.
Anyways today I took it upon myself to clean the intake and throttle body for the hell of it and what a surprise it was when I took it apart! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE WITH AN IS300 THAT HAS MORE THAN 100K ON THE MOTOR. It had dust and carbon build up like no tomorrow, so I happily took apart the intake so as to leave the throttle body exposed. Went to the local auto parts and got a can of throttle body cleaner. I sprayed and wiped the throttle body until it looked like a baby's *** lol the intake I just wiped down with a semi damp rag them I waited for it to dry out and got a micro fiber rag and put a little wax and waxed it smooth on the inside. You can use like one of those bottle cleaner things and put the rag like I did and wipe the inside. After i was done I naturally took it for a test drive and it was complete night and day from before as far as start up and acceleration. If you need pics on how and what I used just leave a comment
