I'm throwing an evap system failure CEL, P0440, to be specific. I have a broken line shown in the attached picture (the one with the duct tape wrapped toward the back of the motor/valve cover). It is running from the intake to the back of the engine/valve cover. My question is, could this cracked line be causing the CEL or would that be causing a completely separate issue? Any information would be appreciated.

Pretty sure what you have taped there is just a wiring loom cover for the throttle body and o2 sensor...

P0440 is evap system malfunction - could be a leak in the system, faulty vsv or charcoal canister...
