IS300 Figgs hood stuts
Anybody happy with the Figgs hood strut kit for a 2001 IS300.
Just installed one but expected it to be much better. Works fine until you go to close the hood. About 2/3 of the way down it stops having any resistance.
Every other car I have ever had with struts you could close nice and easy with one hand. With any hood or rear hatch like on a couple SUVs I have had. Some cars may slam a little but not so hard you feel like it may break something. And nowhere near as hard as the figgs kit.
With the figgs the hood could really slam very hard if someone was not prepared with how it works.
Maybe I could find some stronger struts?
I know to be careful with it. But when I have it serviced they may look at it and assume it works like the average car that has struts.
Thanks for any opinions.
