Default Starter going bad??

My IS 300 won't start. When I turn the key to start it, it makes clicking sounds, as if the battery is dead although the lights on the dashboard are all on and the headlights work. Also used jumper cables, but that did nothing.

This is my first post and I know very little about cars. Sorry if it is vague or confusing.

Assuming the battery is known good , sounds like a dead spot in the starter .

Tap ur starter if the car turns on hello u need a new starter. u can also check ur AM2 fuse in the engine bay. aka the fuse box nearest to the battery. if u popped that fuse ur car is a sitting duck with a good battery and everything else. it requires a 20 fuse jus swap them out with ur neg side of the battery off. then put everything back together and ur car should start. if its not that then make sure ur battery terminals are not corroded and are on tightly. best advise i can give u with my knoledge.
