Nankang NS-20 tires 2000mile review
This is for all the people who have seen these tires online and have thought "hmmm i wonder how they really are"...
First off let me start by saying i picked these 215/45/17s up for 86.00 shipped!!!
Dry traction-great! I had goodrich g-force tires on to begain with and they are a soft compound tire BUT the ns20s stick to the road as good as the g-forces did in turns but braking is SLIGHTLY longer with the nankangs.
Wet traction- great when hitting standing water at 55mph! Doesn't lift what so ever or pull to the side with the water. The g-forces would pull in a situation like so.
SNOW- I drive a is300 and as is owners know they are not a great vehicle to be stuck in the snow in lol BUT with the ns20s I was VERY VERY surprised!! We had almost 3'' of snow on the roads here in wv and I was very stable!! I was amazed!! Once again I wouldn't advise taking a is300 with ns20s in winter weather if you have another vehicle selection..
Overall.. Ill never in my life spend over $100 on a tire again after owning these nankangs. People has said many bad things about nankang in the past but I needed tires asap and I went with them. I would recomend them time and time again so far. I can't state how they last as I've only had them for 2000 miles but so far they still look new.
Hope this helps some of you when considering your next set of shoes!
Also I bought them from discount tire direct.com.

having those tires on my is300, they're pretty decent on dry and warm temperatures. Drop to low 40's, and problems begin. On the wet, you'll definitely spin and slide while taking corners. No way, would i recommend anybody to drive on those during winter! They run like $70, which is pretty cheap for a tire. Again those are Chinese, so think twice.

I shouldve stated that my is300 is setting on h&r springs and is cambered to spec. Maybe that makes a dif because so far so good in cold weather. Like I said I live in wv so the temps get pretty low and we have plenty of snow.
Also they only lasted 20k miles??
I was hoping for a little longer life

Random update on my own experience, I got these tires in Mid Dec 2012 on my IS300 215/45/17(car is completely stock)
Daily drove the car all year, did norcal to socal round trip once, put on about 20k miles on the tires. it wore down about 2/32's off so far(10/32" is new with these tires). Did couple of rain days, no snow experience on them.
They are quiet, nice and soft, provides way more grip that I had expected, good tire life.
I love the tires, probably wouldn't get anything else for the price range.
couple of other friends got these tires after I told them about it and their price. and they are all happy too.

I sell tires and those are not really a North East tire. They are a
descent warm weather tire. One other thing, pray you dont lock up the brakes with those tires, they burn flat spots and then its time to buy a quality tire. Good luck

if you lock up your brakes, any tire should have a flat spot cheap or expensive the price of the tire.

I ran some Fuzions on mine which in my opinion are the same quality as the Nankangs maybe a little but better then I upgraded to some BFG super sport a/s..seriously a world of difference!! I understand if you are racing and burning thru tires that it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to spend money on good tires but you get what you pay for when it comes to tires.
