Default Inner Fender Interchangeability

I have seen that aftermarket inner fenders are available for the IS300,but not for the 2002.Has anyone tried putting other years of inner fenders on the 02.

Hmm, I don't think there is any difference at the inner fenders at all.. It is rare, that car companies remakes these at the same model

01 fender liners are actually different than 02+ fender liners. But the differences are only aesthetic and are interchangeable between all years.

01-05 fender liners will fit the same.

Thanks for the replies,I will try the earlier year for fit.But for what ever reason every after market manufacture does not offer that year, and lexus show a different part number before and after the 2002

what he said....^^^ there are several differences actually the earlier ones have holes in front of the tires to vent air differences tothe metal brackets that they have to keep the parts stiff under pressure etc.... but... tghe mount points and general dimensions etc are the same for all 1st gen model years and should be interchangeable with no problem....

I am about to try to build a set of custom liners...
with larger Chargespeed fenders the OEM liners are too short and do not connect properly any more... with the various wheels & tires and track days ive done over 10 years now...the oem liners are pretty tattered ... i will try to extend the liner using the used ones i bought..so it reaches the edge of the fender properly again and will attach again. It looks like I need to use about 60mm of the liner to extend the edge and have solid overlap for strength... i'll probqably just pop rivet the pieces together.....

i just dont want to run the car with NO liners at all.... if i can make it work i want to keep a liner in there..

keepin fingers crossed...

Thumbs up Inner Fender to Edgy

: And thanks for the Details its amazing what information can be had from what seems to be such a minor Item. Now i know that instead of power $80.00 to the Dealer for the 02 Liner,I can use the other years in the aftermarket world for half the Cost,if you like i will send you what I find for Cost and availability on the other than OEM version
