Default Worth fixing?

Hey guys, I have a 01 is300 and got into an accident recently and the shop said my shift linkage is bent. They said its not worth fixing, just wanted to get a second opinion.

shift linkage??? If it is an automatic, should be a pretty easy fix if that is all that is wrong, if it is manual transmission, you can find used transmissions (w55) for cheap... Why is that such a big deal to them?

If the insurance payout is enough to purchase another IS, I'd go with not worth it.

It is an automatic, they said if I hit hard enough to bend the shiftv linkage then theres a high possibility or more damage. I don't have full coverage for insurance unfortunately. I've been recommended to sell it

Take the recommendation, unless you know what you're doing as far as repair work. It's always better to be safe than sorry.
