New Here!!
HELLO ALL
I am new here i just purchased a 2007 IS 300 and till now amazed by the performance i drove an accord before and i can feel the difference from performance to "quiet cabin drive".
I had a few questions if anyone can help me:
1: The trunk lid is very heavy to open ( it doesn't jump up like other cars when i press the button), but closing it sems to be very easy and if i leave it to fall freely it will slam
2: Is there any way that i can make the mirror close automatically ( it has a button to do so) when i lock the car.
3: What is the best way to keep the interior fresh and tidy it has leather seats and the dashboard has small cracks but otherwise the car is very clean and has a good history at its dealer
thanks
amir

1: i dont think the IS pop open like other cars. you can just hear it unlock and popup barely.
2:i'd like to see this.
3: keep your interior cool as much as possible. i know lots of heat in the long run deteriorates the dash/leather. windshield visor when parked in the sun? just normal cleaning habits when you clean your car. i clean my interior every one - two weeks. leather wipes helps me.
maybe its just me, but i try my best to avoid any weird creasing the leather on the seats. like avoid sitting half way off the seat when your door is open. or any heavy objects that might put pressure on the leather.
i notice that when i drive, the right side shoulder area of the driver seat is a little creased cuz of the way i sit when i shift gears, so i sit a little closer to the right of my seat. i try to keep my body in the middle of the seat as much as possible.

Thank you FPSee for your reply .
I took it third hand so it appears the old owner didn't use a sunscreen from the apprearance of the small crack on the dashboard. I clean my car once a week also but the weather here can easily reach 40 -50 celcius in the summer . Will try the products for condition leather and dashboards
thanks again
