Glass Headlight Lens'
Coming from the Volkwagen scene i know alot of upper class cars, like Gli's 20ae and R32's have glass lens'. I started researching but i cant find anything as far as glass lens' go for the IS300. Anyone ever seen or heard of such for these? I figured a package like the sport design would have such OEM

Nope, all the lenses are plastic.

unfortunately no. I was talking to a buddy with an SC about how we wish they did, since the SC's high beams are glass. If someone wanted to make some cash, they'd make some sets and sell them here, I know I'd buy.

for sure, i loved the glass lens. i ran them on my MK4 jetta european E-codes and on my Mk3 E-codes. but im sure at this point for the 1 Gen IS market it would never have enough market for it, and probably become very expensive, therefore never happen..

Hey ya never know though and I hate to use hondas as an example but the fact is the older the car gets (keeeping in mind aftermarket parts for 1st gen is dident take off so to speak) honda parts other then a few select company's in japan was all ebay garbage when people first started building them and now look you can make a micro-machine on crack all the way down to having company's fighting over who can use the best materials for the cheapest price. Idk if I can wait forever with my is lol but there could come a time when these cars get even cheaper and people start showing some enthusiasm in them again. Supply and demand in my personal opinion works better when the base platform (being the car) is cheaper. Unless u got a lot of money which I don't. Most either spend the money on the car then modify slightly or spend far less on the car and modify heavily. Again everyone just a thought.

I* agree, I wish there was a larger market for quality parts on our cars, but then again I'd be PO'd if the 1gen IS became the next civics with mass produced aftermarket parts. I enjoy the fact that I'm one of the very few people that own an IS300 in my area (and mine is, by far, the best of any I've seen here). Besides our 300s could slaughter any Honda (excluding s2000), with 5k thrown into it, bone stock. They might not be cheap to build on, but put that same 5k in an IS300 and it's a monster.
As for the headlights, I'd like to be optimistic and say maybe if we bug the right people they'd make a couple sets. Something tells me we wouldn't have much luck though. I personally haven't seen any, but I hadn't searched very hard either. If you decide to do a search let us know if you find anything. Good Luck!

I'm pretty sure it would never happen. Here are an example for Glass Lens for the Mk4 Golf/GTi.

The lens completely replaces the plastic lens. Like such when you pull apart the Is300 headlight's to the the "blackout" mod.

Um, having owned a car with glass head light lenses with projectors behind them, I can quickly and easily tell you how happy I am to have plastic lenses... when they are new, glass is amazing... sad thing is, they seem to chip even worse than plastic lenses, and, they suffer from the same dulling issues as plastic lenses do...
they can be cleaned up to an extent, just like plastic lenses, but some of the rock chips may never go away...
I'll stick with the plastic lenses...
