Default Sunroof trouble

I have a 2008 Lexus IS250. The other day the sunroof stopped working automatically. It will close if i turn the **** to the close position and push it. It will open if I turn it all the way to the open position but it will only open if I hold the **** to the open position. Is there a feature I missed concerning making it manual rather than automatic?

You might get more help in the 2nd gen subforum....

But, have you recently had a dead battery, or replaced your battery? How about your door windows? Do they auto-open/close?

Do NOT switch any electrically powered Systems ON and OFF during initialization.

^ If battery voltage fluctuates by 0.5V or more, initialization will fail.

^ Permanent ECU damage will occur if power is disconnected while the moon roof motor is operating.

^ Do NOT move the vehicle during initialization.

^ Do NOT apply strong force to the vehicle during initialization, such as closing the doors.

Moon Roof in jam protection or abnormal operation for SLIDE open/close position

1. Switch ON the ignition (IG) by pressing the "START/STOP" button twice.

2. Rotate the moon roof switch position to 2. The moon roof should be in the full open position.

3. Rotate the moon roof switch position to 9. The moon roof will move to slide close and re-open and stop at the partially slide open position.

4. Push and hold the sliding roof switch (this is position 11). Continue holding the switch until the following movement is complete: the moon roof will slide close, re-slide open, after about 10 seconds the moon roof will again slide close and stop at the fully closed position.

5. Confirm that the auto operation features work for slide open, slide close, tilt up, and tilt down.
