Need your advice
Just got my new work wheels the rear is 18x9 +42 off set should I go with 255-35 or 245-35 ??? I'm not sure which one? lmk what you guys would do and why? Also i have coilovers so height not an issue Thanks...

Here's a 245/35/18 on a 18x9 +38 with about -1.3° camber.
If you need the traction, go for the 255's. If not, I think the 245's do just fine on an NA setup. Either way, I don't think it will make a huge difference. You'll need to roll your fenders pretty flat, remold the rear plastic liners, and probably trim the area where the rear bumper bolts to the quarter panel.

Sorry to jump on an exsisting tread but a quick question since u are on the topic. if i have some 18 7.5 would 225 40 for the rear be to big if i want to keep my car low? and have 215 40 in the front. Thank u in advance for any help u can give me.

I don't think I've seen anyone cut off the center mounting flap and reshape the VIS version. I'd be interested in seeing how it comes out. How are you going to support it with the flap gone? In the pics I sent you, my jdmEyes lip has mounting tabs spread across the length of the lip, but the VIS doesn't. Definitely post some pics of the finished lip before it's mounted. This may be an option for people who can't get their hands on an authentic or jdmEyes lip.

an update i got 235 40 18 for the 18 7.5 im sure i have to role my fenders to make the 235 fit. and im still lookin for the 215 for the front. Is it bad to run 235 on a 7.5? my offset is 44
